Weekend Adventure coming my way..

We are heading away for the weekend and just can't contain ourselves. We are going to our little weekend getaway in North Bend, BC.

It is nestled among the mountains...and of course the wildlife. I'm hoping I can get a bit of bear hunting in this weekend. No no not really, we are not a hunting family and just like to watch them from afar...preferably farther away than they were last year! Right in our yard they were...busy eating our fruit! I do rather like watching the birds in the yard, which are plentiful. Mum mentioned perhaps a hummingbird feeder....but then again, that really isn't fair to them if we are not there to fill it all the time.

The area is so peaceful and serene..........bees busy in the raspberries, birds chirping, bears, creek behind us bubbling away. You can just sit back and relax and that is what I do a lot of.

When Dad comes home we will know it is time to leave as once we see them loading up the truck all hell breaks loose and we run in circles in anticipation of the 2 hour drive.

My favorite part of all about the weekend is that we will get to go to the Canada Day celebrations and have lots of ooooooooooowwwwwww and awwwwwwwwwwws at us. And of course the sitting on the couch there without getting in trouble an Ms Olivia gets to break all the rules and sleep on the bed! Just somehow totally unfair!

She's at it again.......

OK so Mum doesn't work till noon today, there is snow outside.........and we sit and wait and wait...

Once again she is in the basement sewing...........geez.................get with the program Mum!

New Addition

Well we have a new baby in the house, Isabella Irma Figgy Pudding.....sometimes known as Little Kitty. She is a fawn baby....unlike Olivia and myself. We do love her to pieces though and she is a nice addition....Olivia and myself are two peas in a pod and now we have added the carrot to the peas and carrot combo. She was born October 29, 2010. She is getting to be the little devil now though...I really can't say that I was the perfect child but really look at my face and you will realize that I certainly would not have been naughty.....we'll keep you updated on Isabella's growth. Life is busy and Mum just doesn't seem to have the time to get on here with us.......something about this being the year of organization............ha we've heard that one before and it is the same as last year....procrastination....

1440 minutes in a day....

Well there are alot of minutes in the day but what really does one do? Sleep on the new couch when no one is home :) Woo Hooo we are not suppost to be on it at all. But really how does one stop Olivia & I the tag team? There is a water bottle on the table and Mum & Dad just have to show it to us now and we fear and get off fast. I rather liked the old red couch they had before as it was animal friendly..........to the point that Stanley ripped the side of it off. Bad pup he is.......although he is getting better.

I have noticed that I am putting weight on around my middle as Mum seems somewhat lazy or just content lately that we are not going for walks...could be something to do with the rain and the snow we have had. I love to play in the snow but Mz Olivia hates it. When she gets picked up to go in the yard, and what a lovely big yard we have, she spreads out her toes! She hates to be picked up and she hates hates the snow and the rain and the cold........She is really a spring to early fall girl.

In less than a month Christmas will be upon us and we will have some nice family time and eats eats eats. I have heard in the past few nites talk of diet.....oh no that just isn't good, but on the other hand since we are not jumping up on the couch too much we are not getting our streatches and that my friend is why the thick tummy is coming and the medium size snow suits don't fit.

Well better go stock up on some couch time while no one is looking.

Snow????

Wow I am just getting over my nervousness in the yard and outside, I am a very chicken little boy......Why you ask............I don't think my eyesite is that good. I really have nothing to compare it to but sometimes it is a little hazy. And now there is the white stuff falling from the sky. MY FIRST SNOW FALL!!! I really really like it :) I was outside running all about but I have my nose to the ground and I want to gobble every last flake up. It is cold on my lips but oh so wonderful at the same time. Olivia and I had a great play time out there today in the snow. It is not deep yet and I hear that it gets hard to run in when it gets thicker. Oh looking forward to this whole month as it is my first Christmas too. Wonder what they are going to get us :) Mum is knitting us sweaters too right now. Cant wait.

Balls

Well guess what...I was at the vet's yesterday for my shots ~ most frightning experience!! I was so scared. But anyways.....................................I have both my testicles now!!! One was hiding and the vets were getting worried but it is there now! Yippee!!! But I found out too that they won't be with me for long..............................maybe till mid January and then I'm once again visiting the nice vet lady but after my little surgery she won't be so nice

Chicken Chicken Chicken

I am a chicken of most things. I am now learning about this wetness that falls from the sky............it makes me wet on the outside of my fur and i'm not too sure if i like it or not. There has been alot of wind here lately and if I'm out in the yard for my 'business' I am scared when the trees start to shake and make strange noise. I'm actually afraid of most things....wind, noise, and things i have not seen before. I am building up my confidence but it is slow.....it will come though. Now we have this strange thing in the living room -- a Tree with all kinds of things hanging off it and socks hung up on things in the house. So far so good I've stayed away from them. Just observing from a distance.....I hear there will be colorful wrapped items under there though pretty quickly.....sure hope I can resist them. I hear that I am going for shots tomorrow..........EWWWWWWWWWWW not looking forward to it. Not the H1N1 shot though!! Staying away from people that are sick and hoping the family doesn't bring anything home! Talk soon.

The art of laziness....

OK so it has been awhile, seems that the fall has brought on laziness! Even for me at my young age I am learning this age old art! Gotta say I'm loving it. Lazing on the couch watching TV with the family, dark dreary days......what can I say. Well update update right? Well I had my 2nd back of shots, which really is my 3rd set of shots! I don't know how they sucked me into this one....but apparently I was too young when i got the 1st set so it was like pouring water on water with no benefit to me. I still need one more next week then OFF TO THE DOG PARK!!!!!!!!!! My pawrents won't take me till i have had them all done. Ha they expose themselves all the time to people that are walking around with the flu and stuff but i seem to be the protected one. Oh another thing is i had a hot spot when i went for my last shots so i had to walk around with a CONE HEAD! Talk about embarrassing. I love to sniff at the dirt and stuff too so I was using it as a shovel when I sniffed the ground and would toss dirt in my face.........NO NO not on purpose!!!! I'm so glad that is off now~ Have a great day!

What are children?????

OK last nite Mum & Dad took us for a walk..........there was this strange little creature that was person like but smaller built. He was coming at me in the park very slowly with his pawrent and as i got closer I started to get really scared and barked......as I backed up into the comforts of Dad he kept coming at me. Oh my goodness, oh my goodness I was scared. His mum told him to be gentle but i never got a chance to let him touch me. I was so so scared. I am told that after I get my next set of shots that I will be making by weekly trips to some pet store where I am allowed to go and meet these little people as well as other dogs. Eh gadz!!

Another Vet Trip...

Well on Wednesday Mum took Olivia and I to the vet...........oh yes again! This time was just routine. I needed my shots and what a good boy I was. I am getting so big! I am close to 8 pounds now....just 10 pounds smaller than Olivia! The nice lady took my temperature, gave me my shots and did some feeling around and looking me all over, I think she was hitting on me! Well I breath alot out of my mouth, Mum kept saying before there is something wrong with how I breath, guess what............THERE IS! Duh! When I breath I don't get enough oxygen in me, it is like I'm breathing through a crimped straw. When I go in for my man surgery I will also have to have some nasel surgery, this will hopefully give me about 30% more air. I'll be ok though till then. I'm still an active boy. Nothing is going to hold me down from doing the things I like to do. Wooo Wooo another trip in the truck this weekend to our other house!! I can't wait!! The scenery is so great on the way up there....................ya right, I look through the blasted bars in my crate!!! Olivia is spoilt, she gets to sit on Mum's lap.....yes I am green with jelousy about that one! Na it isn't that bad cuz I snuggle up in my bed in the crate and just sleep.........somehow though I think my snoring gets a bit loud. Mum told Dad that she is getting us seatbelt harnesses for next summer and we can ride in the backseat and look out the window. Can't wait for that one...by then I should be able to sit still. What next...a snuggie????

"Crappy" Saturday last week

OMG last Saturday I did not know what was going on. I had the poops!!! EVERYWHERE, EVERY FEW MINUTES.....ummm I think I ate something I should not have. Mum had to wash the floor so many times..I felt bad but had no thought of it at the time. Well it was in the car and to the vets. He was very nice when he first came in. Then as the time past he had this big cotton swab~you guessed it up my butt. This is exit only so what was he thinking!!! I screamed loud. He was getting a swab and testing me for parvo. Thank goodness I did not have it!!! Then again he came at me again to take my temp. This was not an oral temp taker...so we know that I screamed again and again. So he took me in the back, gave me a couple shots. My pawrents could not come with me and I had no one to comfort me. He sent me home with antibiotics......AND YOU THINK YOU'RE GOING TO GET THOSE DOWN MY THROAT....NOT!!! The fight is on trying to get me to take those....I freak freak freak. If it isn't food I'm so not doing it! I'm feeling better now, I was after the vet trip cuz we went to North Bend and I had no more problems. :)

My First Vacation

Let me tell you about my first camping experience...Mum. Dad, Taz, Olivia and I went to Ross Lake...Oh my goodness what a long drive! When we got there my crib was set up for me, people thought that there was a real baby in it. Duh, what do they think that my parents would leave a real baby outside?? No, just little me~they were never far away at all...Mum was a worry wart about taking me camping as I was still very young when we left cuz I was only born on June 9th. It was pretty hot there and I got some experience doing the dog paddle in the lake, was a bit scared at first but was alot of fun and my big sister Olivia was able to show me the ropes on that...she has a life jacket though and I'm still too small for one to fit so guess got to wait till next year. To help keep us cool too the generator was running when it was really hot and Olivia and I had fans on us, boy do we have them wrapped around our fingers! Well I learned that Olivia is a screamer when she cant see Mum. She doesn't wine, doesn't whimper but lets out this god awful scream and it is loud and so annoying. Cry Baby, Cry Baby...Bernice the lady that was camping beside us heard her screaming and dropped everything and came running thinking something horrible was going on. She was not sure at all what the commotion was all about. Olivia could of won an academy award for the leading lady in a horror movie!! OMG the Mosquitoes were so bad at Ross Lake, good thing that we had a nice enclosed bug tent that was netted to protect us. The early morning and the evenings were the worst time for the mosquitoes. I have no love for them, have no clue even why they are on this earth! During the days I played in my crib, had my walks and playtime and lots of cuddles. Opps I bit Bernices lip too and made her bleed...felt bad but hey what are these puppy teeth for besides a good bite! I've gotten really good at nite wining to let my parents know I've got to get out for my bathroom break~oh the outhouse!! Even one morning I woke them up at 2:20 am to go for my poop...dad was too scared to go outside so my Mum had to get dressed and take me out with the bears! We3ll after a week at Ross Lake we moved on out of Mosquitoville to Chain Lake, Olivia can tell you about the next 1/2 of our holiday.
